Brilliant Institute of Engineering & Technology was established in the year 2008 and was established by the Brilliant Group of Hyderabad. It is a private college which is situated in Hyderabad, Telangana. The college has been affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU) Hyderabad. It has been recognised by UGC and has also been approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The BIET Hyderabad courses are offered to interested candidates at diploma, undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels. There are a total of 24 courses offered to students in the stream of engineering and management. All the courses at the college are offered in offline, regular mode to the students. The Brilliant Institute of Engineering & Technology admission to all the courses is offered on the basis of the candidate's performance in the respective entrance exam as well as the last qualifying exam. TS EAMCET (for B.Tech course), GATE/TS PGECET (for M.Tech course), and TS ICET (for MBA course) are some of the entrance exams that are accepted by the institute for admission.

Candidates must have completed class 12 from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Math as the main subjects in order to be eligible for the B.Tech programme. For the BIET Hyderabad M.Tech course, applicants must hold a B.Tech degree in the necessary stream. The annual BIET Hyderabad fees for the various course specialisations range between Rs 15,000 to Rs 60,000.
